| Brian Charles, Co-owner and Director, a Juilliard trained double reed player and long-time professional performer, founded Charles Double Reed Company in 1984. A Montreal native, and long time New Yorker, Brian moved from Manhattan to Northern New Hampshire in 1994, and after a lengthy acclimation period, has become a strange mix of country boy and city boy. His 1952 Ferguson tractor is the latest obsession, coming close on the heels of the last obsession, a chain saw. He is a published composer and has recently begun working on new pieces mixing acoustic and synthetic elements. |
| Sarah Charles, Co-owner, is the financial wizard of the company. In addition to juggling Euros, answering phones and leading our sometimes weekly exercise routines, she is a creative in and outdoors woman, with aspirations of continued rock climbing, skiing, hiking and felting. |
| Michael Felber, seemlessly merges his many talents into our inventory and shipping departments. A New York native and long time North Country resident, he and his wonderful wife Tina own Milo, possibly the largest dog in the universe. |
| Jennifer L. is the sweet voice and powerful intellect behind our daily operations, including computer, accounting, orders, and many other technical areas. She is currently learning sign language, and keeps extremely busy with her twin boys, Zack and Tyler. |

Our Location
We work and live in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire, specifically the town of North Conway. Some of you may know this town as a great shopping Mecca, renowned for many brand name, tax-free outlets. Some know that this is the rock and ice climbing destination of choice on the East Coast. Others have rafted down the gentle Saco River, skied one of the 7 major resorts near us, hiked the National Forest trails or swam in the waterfalls. But true, in-the-know aficionados of the area know that you can do all of these things and also drop by one of the largest double reed shops in America, try instruments, test cane, talk to the reedmaker, and make yourself at home.
